Updates
January 25th,
2002.
Added new interview from Cult Times
#77.
I have some new screen caps and some
artwork to add but that probably won't be until after next weekend.

Yep, it's been quiet lately. Only added
a tiny bit of info to the SG4 page. New guest announcement.

January 1st, 2002.
No content added but some may notice
a slight change in structure. The "Conventions" page has
changed to "Appearances" so that it can cover conventions,
signing events, the Euro Tour and any TV appearances (where Michael
appears as himself and not as a character).
Hope you all had a great New Year!

December 31st, 2001.
Firstly, HAPPY NEW YEAR! May
2002 be a great year for all!
Secondly, this isn't much of an update.
I've changed the title image on the homepage and I've created a
banner using the same image. So if you'd like to link to this site,
or already do, the banner is available from the "Links"
page. I've also fixed some links on that page, and made sure that
none of them open up in the frameset.
On a serious note, I've posted something
I've wanted to say for a while now on the messageboard in the Stargate
SG-1 forum. Responses, either on the board or in private, are welcome.
Best wishes
Tk.

New dates announced for MS' Euro Tour.
Michael will be doing two autograph sessions at the Forbidden Planet
stores in Dublin and Cardiff. More info on the News page.
I'm hoping to create a new section
on the site for coverage of this Euro Tour next week (after Christmas).
And just incase there's not another
update before then, Merry Christmas to you all!
Regards,
Tk.
December 15th, 2001
Happy 31st Birthday Michael!
(Okay, so technically the 15th is still
six hours away for the Pacific coast, but there goes!)
Just the one thing added - another
candid interview, this time from TV Zone. Imagine my surprise today
when I walked into WH Smiths to get a drink, and spot Michael Shanks
on the front cover of another mag... <g>
Go, read, it's a great interview.
Later all!

December 10th, 2001
UMS has a new home! (Of course, if
you're reading this then you're already here!) Due to the previous
hosts revoking their free service, I had to move the site.
Many thanks to the wonderful Tamy,
who arranged the new webspace for UMS. I also got a new domain name:
www.michael-shanks.com and new contact
address: webmaster@michael-shanks.com
Apart from that, as far as updates
go, I haven't done much. I did get rid of that bright green because
it was getting on my nerves - Let me know which one you prefer!
And I changed the colours on some of the early interviews because
they were boring.
Best wishes,
Tk.
November 29th, 2001
Added the interview from Dreamwatch
by Thomasina Gibson. This is Michael's first interview since the
news broke about him leaving Stargate SG1 and he speaks frankly
about his reasons for leaving.
Tiny update on the ticket sales for
the UK dates of Michael's European Tour. There is no news on new
dates at the moment.
I've started another thread on the
messageboard in the "Conventions" forum for anybody who'd
like a question asked at the SG4 convention in London in February.
So, if there's something you've always wanted to ask Michael (within
reason!) but haven't had the chance, post it and I'll see what I
can do!

Finally managed to add littlevera's
BOBW report - thank you littlevera! The report can be found on the
Conventions page.
Also, news out today that Michael will
be making a European Tour early next year. Check out the News page
for more details.
Later,
Tk, whose computer seems to be back! Yay!
November 14th, 2001.
Added interview from the MGM Sci-Fi
Newsletter.
I had another report from BOBW but
my lovely computer decided it didn't like its hard drive and hence
broke down (I'm updating this from Uni) Hopefully, the report will
be retrieved somehow. Moral of the story: make back-ups!
The Conventions page has been updated
with the latest news from SG4.

Just a little addition! Having just
had one of the best weekends of my life (no exaggeration!) I've
added some comments about Michael made by a couple of the guests
at the SG3 convention in London this weekend. I had to grab a pen
and scrap of paper quickly so the quotes may not be 100% accurate.
But they're pretty close.
Personally, it was really nice to hear
about Michael from people who know him.
I've also tidied up the News and Updates
pages - I've created archives so that the pages don't get too long.
NB: Wolf
stated before SG3 that they were going to put any spare tickets
for SG4 on sale tomorrow. Originally, all tickets for SG4 were sold
out at SG3 on Saturday but another 50 tickets were made available
on Sunday. Whether they all sold out I'm not sure but if you really
want a ticket (and I really recommend it!) then head over there
early tomorrow morning.

Tk.
