Site extensions continue....

Thanks to Ramkat, who has let me archive her report from the BOBW 12 con which Michael attended last weekend. It has started off the new Conventions page, which will list the conventions Michael has attended or is planning to attend. Hopefully, they'll be some reports there too! If you want to share your report, send them in! Photos also welcome (of course!)

Another section added is the gallery, started by Laura and her great Daniel Jackson sketches. Check out her site for more Stargate SG1 and other sketches: http://blackcatcrossing.ascifi.net. Again, send in your art and I'll add it to the gallery. Sketches, manipped pics, etc. Only rule is they should have Michael in them, either as a character or as himself.

With very little actual news, I decided to expand the site. I've added a News page to accompany the Latest News column, and I also added Michael's directing credit to the filmography.

The messages of support for Michael have been sent to Sue in their first step to BOBW and Michael! Many thanks to Sue and 'rachelfromaust' who have made it possible for these messages to be delivered to Michael in person.

I've decided to leave the thread open so if people still want to add a message - just to have it there - then they can.

Due to a mention of art on the messageboard by Laura, I am willing to set up an art gallery here for anyone who wants to show their work. Either hand-drawn or manipulated pictures are welcome, just as long as Michael is in them! If you have some art you'd like to have archived here then send it along to webmaster@michael-shanks.com and I'll put it up asap.

Latest News reports that Michael may be leaving Stargate SG1 at the end of the currently-airing season (five). There is a short report on the messageboard and I've also started a thread in the "Miscellaneous Michael" forum where you can post messages of support/appreciation of Michael's career. These will be printed out at the end of October and sent to Michael, probably via MGM, so please take a moment to post a message.

Other news: I've made the site Netscape-friendly! The pictures no longer end up all over the place. Apologies for that - I didn't realise it was so bad until I got Netscape myself!

I've added a couple of scanned pictures to the Daniel Jackson section, and that lovely black and white pic of Michael to the Michael Shanks page (under Scanned Pictures, although I didn't actually scan it).

There's also another interview added. I have another one, maybe two, in the works.

Latest: Michael has been added to the guest list for the Australian Stargate SG-1 Convention in October.

FOUNDED! Finally! Just for explanation, the left frame is the nav bar - it will take you to wherever you wish to go on the site. The right frame is a little column which contains the date of the last site update, and a small 'newsflash' type paragraph which will contain any interesting announcements/bits of information. I may archive these, or I may just note them on this page. It's is an experimental column - since it could say the same thing for weeks on end I may decide there's no point to it later on.

The main problem I'm having at the moment is pictures. As in, I haven't got enough of them. I am working on this (requesting, begging, pleading etc.) so hopefully I'll be able to build up a good archive and make the site generally more interesting.

I'd like to thank Tamy for her numerous screen caps. Check out her site, a link to which is on the links page.

If you've got any pictures or info to contribute, please send them to me using the link in the nav bar. Any contributions would be greatly appreciated and credit will, of course, be given.

Latest: Michael appeared at the Comic Con in San Diego on July 21st.
