details about Sumuru's premiere and dvd/vhs release have been
updated.

Hey there!
Just a quick update to announce the
world tv premiere of Sumuru.
Also, I should explain. Soon
after the last update, I started my final year in university,
and it's been very hectic. Unfortunately this site took a
back burner and it's going to have to stay there for a while
(probably until August, to be honest). I am still replying
to emails as quickly and often as possible, and I'm storing
any submissions for when I can put them up. Meanwhile,
the site will remain available as is.
Thank you for visiting. I am
sorry for the "year out".
Best,
Tk.

2003
Okay, who
thought that I'd abandoned this site?
I haven't, but
I apologise for what I think must be the longest spell without
updates since I launched the site two years ago (and yes,
we actually had our two year anniversary on the 1st of this
month!) I also apologise for the obviously-missing maintenance
that I was supposed to have done by now, and for the fact
that we still have the EZBoard forums. I have, so
far, had a rather hectic summer, which caused all my plans
re this site to disappear. :(
This update is
really just a small announcement. Most people in the SG
fandom have probably already heard the news. I have always
maintained that Michael's personal life is none of anyone's
business except his own, but I wanted to send my congratulations
and couldn't think of a better way.
I hope to be back with more updates
soon (I know Michael did a feature in the UK magazine SFX and
I will hopefully have that to put up in the near future!)
Best,
Tk.

I've given
the filmography a well-needed update. I've also finally
added the link to the recent online chat hosted by Sci-Fi.com.
For the next
few weeks, I have University exams. This is why it's
been so long since the last update, and also means that
I probably won't be able to update the site again for
a while. As soon as my exams are over, I'm hoping
to do a big load of maintenance, overhaul some sections
and get a new messageboard.
To all those
who are attending SFX in London this upcoming weekend:
again, due to my exams, I can't go (I actually have
an exam on the Saturday morning). I will be looking
for reports to put up on UMS so if you feel
like writing a report, send
it in! Full
credit is always given. Photos are good, too. In
the meantime, have
a great time and send
MS my best! ;o)
Regards,
Tk.

So, I have
a website to design for uni, and what do I find myself doing?
Yep, updating this instead! <g>
I posted
an announcement, of sorts, on the messageboard this morning.
Please check that out if you get the chance. I apologise
for the state of the board, especially those pop-up and banner
ads that are the plague of the Internet these days, but I
hope I'll get the chance to replace it with a better forum
soon.
Back to the
site, I just
added two little bits of news re a con appearance and online
chat. I'd also
like to welcome Chris, who sent in a lovely manip'ed pic
of Michael as Daniel Jackson. Check out Chris' page in the
gallery.
Regards,
Tk.

Just added a little info about a new
BOBW convention appearance.

March 2nd,
2003
Yep, still hanging in here. I've just
added two small bits of news to the latest news
page.
I realise that page needs a bit of
maintenance at the moment but Uni is piling the coursework on again.
I apologise for the length of the page and will tidy it up asap.
Best,
Tk.
February 13th,
2003.
Added a second Cyberex
interview - it's currently an external link. I also fixed the
previous Cyberex interview link so it's now direct to the interview
and not to the main site.
Everyone remember last spring/summer,
when there was an interview with Michael Shanks published almost
every week (or seemingly so)? Wonder if that's gonna happen again...
:)

January 29th,
2003.
There's some more news
from Tandem re Sumuru. Tandem have also kindly let UMS post a promotional
wallpaper, which can be found from the news item, and also in the
new Sumuru pictures section (it's the only thing there at the moment!)

January 7th,

Since this is the first update of the
New Year, I hope you all had a great festive season!
Unfortunately this update doesn't bring
good news. Michael has had to cancel
his appearance at the BOBW convention in Sydney.

December 3rd,
2002.
Added a little news
about Sumuru.
The main news for this site at the
moment, though, is that I'm changing hosts very soon. People who
stop by here regularly will notice that this site does tend to have
a bit of downtime. I'm hoping that's going to stop. Also, during
the Xmas hols, I'm hoping to set up a new messageboard (without
the ads!).
In preparation for the server move,
I'm going to disable the guestbook here now, so I don't lose any
[more] messages. If the guestbook is working for you then you are
on the new server! If you'd like to post a message in the guestbook
then please come back in a couple of days. It should take no longer
than two days.
Thanx, and later!

Another quick add - Michael's UK
Appearance.
Tk.
November 8th,
2002.
Just (very) quickly added the news
that Michael will be returning
to SG1.
Tk.
October 31st,
2002.
Well, having just about recovered from
SG5 (11 guests! Madness!) I've managed to add some updates.
N. John Smith made some interesting
comments
about Season 7 at SG5 which I thought some Michael fans may be interested
in. Please note that Mr Smith did not say Season 7 was definite,
as has been said all over the Net in the last few days.
Also from SG5,
Michael will be appearing in the UK in May, 2003.
BOBW have confirmed
that Michael will be in Australia in January (if anyone would like
to buy me some flights and a con ticket for my birthday, I'd be
very grateful! <g> ). Chris Judge will also be there. (I really
rec going if you can, CJ is crazy!)
Finally, I received some info about
Sumuru
- Michael's new project.
Later!

October 12th,
2002.
Michael's appearance on The Twilight
Zone has been added to the filmography.
Michael's also been nominated
for a Gemini Award. The award is decided by a public vote.
There's some news
that Michael will be appearing at the next Stargate SG-1 BOBW convention.
Finally, the site's been down for a
while lately due to an attack on the server. Unfortunately, I think
there may have been some recent entries lost from the Guestbook
so if you've posted there and your message isn't showing up, please
post again. I do make backups, but the server went down too quickly
for me to catch the most recent ones.
The server attack and my return to
Uni are to blame for the extremely slow update (I'm sure many of
you know that Michael appeared in The Twilight Zone since
it was aired in the States at the end of last month ;o) ) Apologies
for all that, and for what may be another long break in updates,
since the SG5 con is coming up in two weeks so I'm officially in
con prep. <g>
Regards,
Tk.
September
22nd, 2002.
A few things added. Screen
caps from the film Suspicious River
are new to the pictures section. Many thanx to DeVryette
for those!
Congratulations to Mel and Chris, whose
Tribute to Michael
music video won Best Song Vid at the recent SG1
Awards.
Finally, some news
about SG appearances. I've not heard any news about Michael from
Gatecon so far. There are a couple of rumours flying around about
work Michael may or may not have done but since these are all rumours,
I'm not putting them up as news yet.

August 25th,
2002.
I've just added a report
and some pictures from Comic Con 2002 - many thanks to Jane!
Later,
Tk.
August 10th,
2002.
Tiny bit of news - Michael signed a
couple of autographs whilst attending the San Diego Comic Con 2002.
Apologies for the month break and also
for the delay with The Test - I couldn't cap the NTSC version so
I'm getting it in PAL.
Later,
Tk.
July 9th,
2002.
Flying update! Just added a link to
an online interview - thanks to the
SG1_Spoilme
list. Also some news from that interview is on the news
page.
Regards,
Tk.
June
30th, 2002.
More maintenance than an update really.
I've added Michael's appearance on The Chris Isaak Show to the filmography.
More details on that to follow.
Besides that, I've overhauled the Links
page - removed the broken ones, updated some others and added some
banners.
Later,
Tk.
June 4th,
2002.
Okay, it's been a long time! Apologies
for that but RL (and by that, I mean exams) got in the way a bit.
Also, there's not that much information about Michael Shanks around
at the moment.
The news
section has information on an upcoming appearance on The Chris Isaak
Show and there's a link to the website of the latest SG convention
on the links page.
Also, thanks to my brilliant brother
and sister in Chicago, a copy of All Around
the Town is on its way to me and my screen capper!
I realise the site has had a lot of
downtime recently. That's mainly due to my hosts making several
upgrades to their servers and network. Apologies for this but it
shouldn't last much longer.
Finally, I've started an announcements
list at Yahell. Updates will be posted through that list. You can
join through the link in the nav bar on the left.
Best wishes,
Tk.
May 4th, 2002.
Latest interview, this one from Starburst
#286, can be found here
- Michael doesn't pull many punches! Thanks to richb2b for the head's
up.
The links page has a couple of new
additions and one amendment.
For those who haven't seen the announcement
on the messageboard, I apologise in advance if the site isn't updated
during the next three weeks - I have university exams. Please keep
checking the messageboard though, because if I come across any news
and can't update the site, I'll post it quickly on there. There
are also VCR alerts on the messageboard for All
Around the Town and Door to
Door, which are airing in North America soon.
Regards,
Tk.
