London Convention Appearance

After teasing visitors by advertising a special announcement on their site, Wolf have announced that the next Stargate SG1 Convention in London (after the upcoming SG3 in November) will be in February and will feature Michael Shanks in his first European Convention appearance.

Wolf SG4 - Gateway Beyond the Stars is also being attended by Amanda Tapping. The con is taking place on the weekend of February 1st-3rd.

Michael Leaving SG1

During this weekend's Gatecon convention in Vancouver, Brad Wright - co-creator and producer of Stargate SG1 - revealed that Michael Shanks will be leaving the regular cast of the show at the end of Season Five (the current season). He went on to say that Michael's character, Daniel Jackson, will not be killed off and the door will be left open for Michael to return in guest appearances during Season Six.

UMS would like to wish Michael the very best for the future. This fansite was built to follow and support Michael's career, which it will continue to do.

Australian Convention Appearance Announced

Seems Michael enjoyed his time at the Comic Con too, since he has been added to the guest list for the Best of Both Worlds 12 Stargate SG1 Convention in Sydney, Australia. The con will be taking place on October 20th and 21st.

Other guests attending include Colin Cunningham (Major Davis), Tony Amendola (Bra'tac) and Alexis Cruz (Skaara/Klorel).

Michael's First Convention Appearance

On July 21st, at the Comic Con in San Diego, Michael made his first ever convention appearance. He spent a few hours signing photographs and meeting fans. General reaction seems to show that everyone had a great time.
